It's true. The folk's behind San Diego Museum of Art's popular Culture & Cocktails series have double the trouble (in a good way, of course) in store at this week's event. Oh, and did we mention there is tequila involved? Make that Triple the trouble.
Details: Thursday, February 25, 6-9pm, San Diego Museum of Art, $15 non-members
Trouble: Artist Hugo Crosthwaite will be in attendance, in celebration of the opening of his exhibition of drawings Brutal Beauty, which will be open to all Culture & Cocktails guests that night, as well as a temporary hands-on station where partygoers can create their own mixed media postcard inspired by the drawings of Crosthwaite. You can also stop by the food station for a gourmet taco and a tequila (yes, one tequila will be on the house!), even a little tango dancing, and then check out the other featured exhibition of the evening: Joaquín Torres-García's Constructing Abstraction with Wood. There's hands-on fun there, too, with a station where guests can construct their own colorful Torres-García inspired wood key chain.
Sound like fun? Check out the museum's new in-the-know member group called The Gallery for more hip, different, behind-the-scenes art events.
